LOBATUS GIGAS
Objects of Nature. Stories of Time.
Transforming forgotten natural treasures into future heirlooms.
About us
Lobatus Gigas was founded by Isabeau van Maastricht, a creative director, trend researcher and lifelong collector of beautiful things.
Inspired by nature, material culture and the stories objects carry through time, Lobatus Gigas began as a search for jewelry with character, pieces shaped by craftsmanship, memory and natural beauty.
Today, the collection brings together curated vintage jewelry, reclaimed natural materials and contemporary creations made from forgotten treasures.
Vintage beads are given a new life. Natural materials are rediscovered. Objects once overlooked become future heirlooms.
At the heart of Lobatus Gigas is the belief that beauty gains value through time.
In a culture driven by constant newness, we are drawn to what already exists: materials shaped by nature, objects marked by use, and craftsmanship that has endured beyond trends.
Through collecting, preserving and reimagining, we give overlooked treasures a renewed purpose. Not only to reduce waste, but because we believe the future of luxury lies in appreciation rather than consumption.
We are drawn to materials that age gracefully, to objects that reveal traces of time, and to the imperfect beauty found in nature. Every piece is selected or created with respect for its origin, its material and its story.
The name Lobatus Gigas refers to the Queen Conch, a remarkable shell shaped by the sea over many years. Like the objects we collect, it is a reminder that true beauty is formed slowly.
Lobatus Gigas exists to preserve, transform and celebrate nature's treasures, creating future heirlooms from the stories of the past.
